Sport has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. I first discovered my love for skiing in the backyard at just five years old. I was naturally competitive and loved the challenge of pushing myself, but I never could have imagined where that passion would eventually take me.

At the age of seven, my life changed dramatically when a farm accident resulted in the loss of my left arm. It was a life-changing experience and an enormous challenge, but it did not change my passion for sport or my desire to compete. Sport became an important part of my journey forward—teaching me to adapt, persevere, set goals, and never stop challenging myself.

That journey eventually led me to represent Canada on the world stage. I have competed at five Paralympic Winter Games as a dual-sport athlete in Biathlon and Cross-Country Skiing.

At the 2014 Paralympic Winter Games in Sochi, I earned a Silver and Bronze medal in Biathlon. Four years later, at the 2018 Paralympic Winter Games in PyeongChang, I made Canadian Paralympic history by winning a medal in all six events I entered. I finished those Games with two Silver and four Bronze medals, setting a Canadian record for the most medals won at a single Winter Games. I was also honoured to serve as Team Canada's Flag Bearer at the Closing Ceremonies.

At the 2022 Paralympic Winter Games in Beijing, I added four more medals to my Paralympic career: Gold, Silver, and Bronze in Biathlon, along with a Bronze medal in the Cross-Country Skiing Relay.

But who I am is about much more than medals.

I am an athlete, a competitor, a coach, a mentor, and an advocate for the power of sport. I believe sport has the ability to change lives, build confidence, bring people together, and create opportunities that extend far beyond the playing field.

Throughout my career, I have tried to embrace challenges rather than be defined by them. My goal is not only to compete at the highest level, but to use my experiences to inspire others, promote healthy and active lifestyles, and help show what is possible when determination, hard work, and passion come together.

With 14 Paralympic medals and 22 World Championship medals, I continue to pursue excellence while looking toward the 2027 World Championships and the next chapter of my journey.

At the end of the day, I am someone who loves to compete, loves the outdoors, and believes that the biggest rewards often come from the challenges we choose to take on.
